SciFi and Fantasy Art: Elf in waterfall

This Is Nalavarauthatoryl, I would like to ask what the story on this painting is, to me it looks interesting.
What is the object in the Elven boys hand?

Yes, real trees do that - a least in Norway.
This is one of my favourite pics, I didn`t think it was possible to paint so good water. (Guess I was wrong, eh?)
Wonderful use of colours.

Ohhhh, it reminds me so much of the Lord of the Rings! I loved that movie... anywho, the only thing I don't like is how the tree leans. Do real trees do that? I don't know, but it just looks odd to me.

I don't think he should be prettier and I love the tree <i>because</i> it's leaning.. is that really a pearl he's holding, cause I first thought it was just .."magic".. well anyways, the only thing that bothers me is that I'm not sure if the rock where he stands on floats in the air or what. because I think it should be situated more down, now it looks a bit like it's in the waterfall. But I realise it's closer, because the house in the background is so small. I'm sorry about the critisism, it's meant to be helpful, I don't mean I could do better or anything.. Oh yeah and one thing I also like is the cliff on the right side and the mountain.. and the sky is beautifully coloured!

This painting is gorgeous, I would to see more painting, but I know how time consuming they are. I love the background but what really captured me was the water, I guess that's just because I'm so terrible at it, but I love yours!

I love the background it is so artistic,it shows a lot of details.But maybe you should have drawn someone more attractive holding the pearl.Oh,the pearl looks very valuable,wish I had one,a real one.The waterfall looks soothing.I LOVE the drawing!Later!

Great sense of water here, the reflection looks great and the waterfall behind looks good too. The shiny ball is kinda odd though
